Custom Underwear Development
Custom Panties Manufacturer for OEM, ODM & Private Label
Develop a panty range around your target fit, material, price point and brand presentation. LJUNDERWEAR supports style selection, pattern and size development, material sourcing, prototype review, branding, pre-production approval and bulk quality control.

How the project starts
A procurement route built around approval points
Start with a tech pack, reference sample or commercial brief. The development route is confirmed after reviewing construction, material availability, color quantity, size range, packaging and testing needs. This keeps price, MOQ and timing tied to the actual specification instead of a generic promise.

Engineering choices
How Do Fabric and Construction Affect Panty Fit, Cost and MOQ?
Material and construction should be selected together. Fabric weight, stretch direction, recovery, opacity, hand feel, dye route and trim compatibility all affect fit approval and production cost.
| Material direction | Fit and engineering checks | Cost and MOQ drivers |
|---|---|---|
| Cotton or cotton blend | Shrinkage, recovery, opacity, hand feel and elastic compatibility | Fabric availability, color route, finishing and cutting yield |
| Modal or microfiber | Drape, stretch direction, recovery, edge stability and gusset compatibility | Supplier minimum, fabric width, dye route and selected finish |
| Lace or mesh | Placement, transparency, comfort, seam compatibility and pattern consistency | Trim width, motif matching, color minimum and cutting loss |
| Seamless yarn system | Machine gauge, recovery, body mapping, opacity and size allocation | Yarn minimum, knitting quantity, machine allocation and color plan |
| Construction route | Best suited to | Key checks before quotation |
|---|---|---|
| Cut-and-sew knit | Cotton, modal, microfiber, lace or blended everyday styles | Fabric width and yield, seam type, elastic application, shrinkage and color availability |
| Circular-knit seamless | Reduced-seam bodies and engineered zones produced on compatible knitting equipment | Yarn availability, machine gauge, body mapping, size allocation and minimum knitting quantity |
| Cut-and-bond or no-show | Clean edges and low-profile finishes using compatible fabrics and bonding systems | Fabric and adhesive compatibility, wash durability, edge recovery and bonding trial |
Circular-knit seamless and cut-and-bond are separate production routes. Review the Fabric Guide and Seamless Manufacturing program for additional sourcing context.

Which Waistband, Gusset, Leg-Finish and Branding Options Can Be Customized?
The same silhouette can perform very differently after component changes. Confirm each item before approving a quotation or sample.

Choose the starting point
OEM, ODM or Private Label: Which Route Fits Your Panty Program?
OEM
Start with: a complete tech pack and approved specifications.
The factory confirms materials, sampling, production engineering and bulk manufacturing against your measurements, BOM, artwork and tolerances.
ODM
Start with: a product objective, reference style or incomplete specification.
Style, material and construction options are developed around the target customer, price, fit direction, quantity and schedule.
Private label
Start with: an existing or lightly modified base style.
Confirm available colors, branding, packaging, sizes and quantities before the style is assigned to the project.
For a development-led brief, review Custom Design & ODM. For cross-category programs, review LJUNDERWEAR's broader custom underwear manufacturer capabilities. The route is selected after checking how much of the specification is already approved.
Commercial planning
What Are the MOQ, Sampling and Bulk Production Requirements?
LJUNDERWEAR supports MOQ starting from 50 pcs where the selected style, material and color route qualifies. Fabric or yarn minimums, dyeing, custom elastic, labels, packaging, colors and the size breakdown can increase the final minimum.
The initial review confirms feasibility, identifies missing details and defines the prototype plan. A finished-sample schedule is then quoted for the selected materials, trims, colors and revision scope.
Sampling and bulk lead times are quoted after project review. See the Sampling & Development workflow.

Approval record
How Are Custom Panty Fit and Bulk Quality Controlled?
A fit approval should be measurable and traceable. Record the sample version, measurement chart, tolerance, construction notes, material reference, color standard and artwork version.
- Incoming fabric, elastic, trim and color checks against approved references.
- First-piece or pilot-run confirmation before full production.
- In-line measurement and workmanship checks at agreed control points.
- Review of seam security, elastic recovery, symmetry, labeling and packaging.
- Final inspection criteria based on the purchase order and approved specification.
The inspection method and acceptance criteria should be agreed in the purchase order or quality agreement. See the Factory Overview.
Document scope
How Are Certificates and Test Reports Matched to a Custom Panty Order?
Documents should be matched to what they actually cover. Ask for the certificate or report number, issuing body, validity period, tested material or product, facility name and batch or order reference where applicable.
Brand and certificate-holder relationship: LJUNDERWEAR is the customer-facing brand. Shenzhen Ljvogues Sports Fashion Limited is the legal entity and certificate holder named on the records below.

What Should Buyers Include in a Custom Panties RFQ?
Send enough information to separate confirmed requirements from open development choices.
- Target silhouette and reference images or physical sample.
- Tech pack, measurement chart and grading rules, if available.
- Preferred fabric composition, weight, stretch, recovery and color route.
- Waistband, gusset, leg finish, seams and branding requirements.
- Size range and quantity by style, color and size.
- Logo, label, hangtag and packaging files.
- Target market, price position and required compliance or test documents.
- Sample deadline, delivery window, destination and inspection standard.
If the specification is incomplete, mark open items clearly. The factory can propose options for review, while approved requirements remain documented separately.
Buyer questions
Custom Panties Manufacturer FAQ
What is the MOQ for custom panties?
MOQ starts from 50 pcs where the selected style, material and color route qualifies. Fabric or yarn minimums, dyeing, custom elastic, labels, packaging, colors and the size breakdown can increase the final MOQ.
Can you develop custom panties from a reference sample?
Yes. A reference sample can support an ODM development brief, but target measurements, material direction, branding, quantity and required changes still need to be documented before quotation and sampling.
Do you manufacture seamless and bonded panties?
Available routes can include circular-knit seamless and cut-and-bond or no-show construction. They are separate processes, and feasibility depends on the selected yarn or fabric, machine or bonding compatibility, size range and order quantity.
How long does sampling take?
For qualifying briefs with an approved tech pack and available materials, a 72-hour feasibility and prototype-planning route may be used. This is not a universal finished-sample promise; the finished-sample schedule is confirmed by material, trim, color, artwork and revision scope.
What must be approved before bulk production?
The approval set should identify the final sample, measurements and tolerances, BOM, construction, material and color references, branding artwork, labels, packaging and any project-specific test requirements.
Can you provide material certificates and test reports?
Available named records include OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certificate 26.HCN.12213, Eurofins report EFW726020391, ISO 9001 certificate 62726Q00153R001 and ISO 14001 certificate 62726E00103R001. Their material, product, legal-entity, validity and test scopes must be matched to the order.
Are all custom panties PFAS-free?
No. Eurofins report EFW726020391 covers a submitted TPU waterproof barrier film intended for menstrual underwear; it does not cover all plain panties. A ≤10 ppm total-fluorine criterion can be specified only where a matching project or batch test method and report support the submitted sample.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Provide the style, construction, material direction, colors, size range, quantity by style-color-size, branding, packaging, target market, test requirements and delivery destination. A tech pack or reference sample helps reduce assumptions.
