Active period product development

Custom Sport Period Underwear Manufacturer for OEM Brands

LJUNDERWEAR develops custom sport period underwear for OEM, ODM and private-label brands from its Shantou production base. Selected product routes start from 50 pieces; fit, materials and movement checks are defined against the named sample and agreed test plan.

Any performance claim must match the tested sample, method, condition and result.

What Can Buyers Verify About the LJUNDERWEAR Factory?

Buyers can review the Shantou production location, eight-stage workflow, sewing and protective-layer processes, in-process quality checks and private-label packing. Capacity, production-line allocation and inspection records are then confirmed for the specific order.

For brands seeking an OEM/ODM route, the practical advantage is one accountable path from pattern and material review through sewing, QC and pack-out at the Shantou production base. Buyers can start with selected routes from 50 pieces, then confirm the applicable MOQ, evidence and line allocation for the named style.

Product formats / Choose a starting point

Which Sport Period Underwear Formats Can You Develop?

Start with the product your customer will wear: a brief, boyshort, training short or active bottom with built-in protection. LJUNDERWEAR can then adjust the fit, protective-panel coverage and construction for the chosen activity.

01

Performance brief

A close-fitting base for leggings, uniforms or everyday training. Rise, leg openings and panel position can be adjusted.

Best for: a low-profile starting style
02

Sport boyshort

A fuller-coverage option with more leg length. The fit review focuses on ride-up, edge pressure and panel stability.

Best for: coverage and mixed movement
03

Training short

A short that can be worn alone or under another layer. Pockets, inseam length and waistband design can be specified.

Best for: gym and outdoor collections
04

Integrated active bottom

The protective panel is built into leggings or shorts. This route needs coordinated pattern, fabric and layer approval.

Best for: one-piece activewear concepts
05

Dance and costume brief

A discreet brief for dancewear and fitted costumes. Coverage and layer edges are reviewed under the intended garment.

Best for: dancewear and fitted costumes

Use the current Sport Period Underwear range as a starting reference, then confirm which routes require new pattern and test development.

Buyer brief / Make it measurable

What Should Buyers Include in a Sport Period Underwear Specification?

Tell us the activity, product format, expected movement, fit, protection goal, materials, sizes, branding, packaging and required evidence. A brief that only says “for sport” is not specific enough for pattern or testing decisions.

Use and fit inputs

  • Primary activity and movement pattern
  • Underwear-only or integrated route
  • Waistband and leg movement
  • Body position and pressure areas
  • Rise, coverage and seam profile
  • Size system and review sizes

Function and order inputs

  • Protection direction and acceptable bulk
  • Fabric hand, stretch and drying direction
  • Colors and quantity by SKU
  • Branding and packaging
  • Target market and sales channel
  • Claims and evidence required

Use the private-label fit and grading guide to prepare measurements and representative-size comments that remain traceable through revisions.

Protection map / Control movement

How Is the Protection Zone Kept Stable During Running, Yoga and Cycling?

The pattern, panel shape, attachment method, fabric stretch and elastic tension all affect whether the protective area stays in place. These parts are reviewed together while the garment bends and stretches.

WaistbandApprove width, tension, recovery and graded fit for roll and slip control.
Front and back riseCheck how movement changes coverage and the entry position of the functional zone.
Leg openingReview shape, elastic tension, edge security and inner-leg contact.
GussetConfirm width, length, attachment and stretch compatibility to limit shift or folding.
Layer transitionReview thickness, seam or bond condition and wash response at every edge.

Material system / Balance the trade-offs

Which Materials Work for Sport Period Underwear?

No single fabric package suits every sport or style. A development brief may evaluate nylon- or polyester-elastane body fabrics, polyester or cellulose-based contact and absorbent layers, and a TPU barrier. These are material directions, not a pre-approved recipe: final fibre composition, weight, layer order and availability are confirmed in the project BOM.

01Body fabricAssess nylon- or polyester-elastane directions for stretch, weight, opacity and recovery; review shape loss and unstable sizing.
02Contact layerAssess polyester or other selected contact textiles for hand feel, moisture transfer and seam contact under the defined activity.
03Absorbent coreAssess cellulose-based or engineered absorbent directions by area, weight and target method while controlling bulk, folding and drying.
04Barrier layerReview a TPU film or laminate direction for flexibility, continuity and compatibility; inspect edge leakage and delamination risk.
05Elastics and joinsReview the specified elastic, tension, recovery, seam or bond profile and wash durability.

Fabric and colour review reference, not a complete functional-layer specification. Final fabrics, absorbent layers, barrier, elastics and joins are confirmed for each order.

Use the Fabric Guide to compare material directions, then validate the selected package in the actual construction.

Validation / Separate observation from claims

How Do You Test Sport Period Underwear for Movement, Sweat and Leakage?

Begin with measurements and basic fit. Next, wear the named sample through a defined movement sequence. Use separate functional and wash tests when the product will carry leakage, absorbency, quick-dry or durability claims.

01 / BASELINE

Measurements and static fit

Record the sample revision, size, garment measurements, rise, coverage, waist and leg balance.

02 / MOTION

Defined activity sequence

Set the movement, duration, garment pairing and observation areas for shift, friction, damp feel and recovery.

03 / METHOD

Functional and wash evidence

Name the sample, method, condition, result and acceptance decision for leakage, absorption or durability claims.

Each record belongs to the named sample, size, method and condition.
Validation areaApproval questionEvidence record
Garment measurementsDoes the sample match the approved specification?Measurement sheet and tolerances
Static fitAre rise, coverage, waistband and leg openings balanced?Fit comments by size
Movement stabilityDoes the garment or insert shift, fold, gape or roll?Named movement sequence and observations

Sweat exposureDo materials change hand, cling or recovery under the condition?Test condition and observations
Functional performanceDoes the sample meet the agreed absorption and leakage method?Method, condition and result
Wash durabilityDo dimensions, stretch, seams, bonds and layers remain acceptable?Wash protocol and cycle observations

Use the running period-underwear development guide for one activity-specific protocol. It does not replace the product-specific sample record.

One category / Different checks

How Should Brands Develop Running, Yoga and Cycling Period Underwear?

Each sport moves the body and garment differently. Choose the main activity first, then check the fit and protective panel in the movements that matter most.

Running

Review repeated impact and readjustment against the exact sample.

  • Waist and leg stability
  • Back rise and gusset position
  • Friction and layer noise

Gym training

Review changes between standing, loaded and floor movements.

  • Mixed-motion stability
  • Sweat exposure
  • Waist recovery

Evidence map / Keep every scope separate

Which Certifications and Factory Records Can Buyers Verify?

Buyers can verify the OEKO-TEX, Eurofins PFAS, GOTS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 records by identifier and original document. Each has a different material, sample or management-system scope, and none proves sport performance on its own.

Match the holder, issuer, validity or issue date and named scope to the selected project.

Buyer questions / Direct answers

What Do Buyers Ask About Sport Period Underwear Manufacturing?

Buyers most often ask how the product differs from regular period underwear, how activity-specific fit is approved, which evidence applies and what changes MOQ or sampling time.

What makes period underwear suitable for sport?

The garment must be developed for a defined activity, with fit, waistband and leg control, protection-zone stability, material recovery and functional performance reviewed together. An athletic silhouette alone does not prove sport suitability.

Can one sport period brief work for running, yoga and cycling?

One style may cover more than one activity after review, but the movement, body position and friction pattern differ. Define the primary activity first and validate any broader use on the approved sample.

How do you prevent the gusset from shifting during movement?

Gusset stability depends on the body pattern, panel shape, attachment method, fabric stretch and waistband and leg fit. Review the approved sample through a defined movement sequence in the key sizes.

Can sport period underwear be seamless or bonded?

Seamless-feel, circular-knit and bonded options can be evaluated when the materials, equipment, protective-panel construction and order quantity are compatible. The approved sample still needs checks for edge strength, panel stability and wash durability.

How should sweat and friction be tested?

Define the activity, duration, moisture condition, garment pairing and observation areas before review. A formal quick-dry or chafe claim requires an appropriate method and result rather than a general wear-test comment.

How is absorbency selected for an active product?

Set the intended use, acceptable bulk, coverage and test claim, then evaluate the named sample under an agreed absorption and leakage method. Higher absorbency should not be assumed to improve fit or movement performance.

What is the MOQ for custom sport period underwear?

Current LJUNDERWEAR company information lists selected product routes from 50 pieces. The quotation must confirm how the minimum applies to each style, color and size. New patterns, custom materials, branded elastic, integrated garments, broad size ranges or special tests may require a higher quantity.

How long does sport period underwear sampling take?

Sampling time depends on the tech pack, material availability, construction, sizes and required tests. The quotation should separate the first prototype, fit revisions, movement review, size checks and pre-production approval instead of promising one fixed sampling time.

Can sport period underwear be produced under the GOTS certificate?

Only where the finished style falls inside the named certificate scope. Scope Certificate BVC-GOTS-BVCN9928-GOTS-2609-50000871-V1.0 covers reusable period panties and tampons listed as 100% organic cotton. A sport style must be checked against that scope, and a valid Transaction Certificate is required before any delivered-product claim is made.
